Trains in Italy are relatively good value, specially when compared to the UK. They also have multiple train operating companies, so the ticket hall at Florence station was quite busy with desks for each company. We found the platform information for our booking quite quickly and once the train arrived, settled into our seats to enjoy the views on our way to Rome.
