While taking the pictures of the gallarijas in Sliema, I noticed that some of them had quite elaborate decorations supporting them.
This house has three stories of gallarijas, the decoration on the supports makes me think this is more modern than the ones above.
The age of some of the balconies is clear from the work done subsequent to their construction. This is the most extreme version I saw of wiring being passed under the gallarija, although it is relatively frequent around the island.
And on the topic of construction, there is plenty going on behind the facades.
The house above is the only one undergoing renovations along a terrace, however here it seems most of the block has been pulled down, but some of the facade is being retained to maintain the style of the town.
