When I set myself the target to visit every EU country while my British citizenship allows me to be an EU citizen as well, I didn’t specify how long I should visit each country for. I always felt that just passing through (such as passing through France on my way to Flanders) shouldn’t count and that a good measure would be spending a night in the EU country being visited. I have slightly revised this having had the opportunity to spend a day in Luxembourg, without actually spending a night there. I explored the City of Luxembourg and hope you enjoy what I found.
Although I didn’t travel there by train, it turned out the only place in the city where I could leave my luggage was a left-luggage office at the station.
Having left my bags at the office on platform 1, I accidentally walked back through the main station hall. I am so glad I did – the ceiling is beautifully painted. I just so happened to witness the cleaning of the information booth too. The ladder has probably been purpose built for this cleaning job.
With my camera and the time of day I was there, I didn’t manage to do the stained glass window justice, you will just have to go there yourself to see it.
