Ed-ucation

The Eden Project is a botanical garden with a strong emphasis on education.  It aims to showcase important plants and the role of plants in human life.  It is set in what had been a clay pit dug out to 15m below sea level.  The conversion of a disused mine to a landscape of diverse flora started in 1995 and the first Eden Project visitors entered through its gates in 2001.

I spent a day exploring which was adequate to explore the various areas, take in a cookery presentation and take many many pictures.  I have arranged them into themes for each of the following posts.
