The Rice Gallery has a video space in which it was showing four short films on a loop during the opening hours of the main installation space showing Marshland. I loved one of the films on show and am really happy that its maker Bianca Giaever has posted it on vimeo and you can watch it from the link below.
Giaever has set a story told by 6-year-old Asa to film and beautifully captures the way the story develops. If you have ever been told a story by a child you will recognise the style of story telling and be delighted by the way it is represented in this film. Don’t forget when you get scared that – The Scared is scared of things you like.
