Touristing Chicago

While I was in Chicago, I did many of the things a good tourist should do.  I visited The Bean, had a hotdog, walked up Michigan Avenue, walked over the BP bridge, saw the millennium auditorium, admired the state library and enjoyed the public art.

I also took the insider tip and rather than going up the Willis (was Sears) Tower or the Hancock Observatory (both $18 for a ride in an elevator), I admired the view from the Signature bar on the 95th floor of the Hancock Centre, one floor up from the Observatory.  I wouldn’t normally be happy to pay $5.50 for a coffee, but it was well worth it as the elevator ride was free.
