Another artificial feeling sight in Macau is Fisherman’s Wharf. It seems famous enough in itself that people were getting their pictures taken at its entrance.

A mixture of outdoor but undercover shopping and food mall, Fisherman’s Wharf has small blocks of houses representing different Western cultures. Some European ones were represented: Italy and Spain with a pizzeria and tapas bar respectively. But also an impression of New Orleans and San Francisco.

It feels a bit like an amusement park to a visitor who has been to some of the places represented, however, the effort was good enough that I recognised the places before I saw the sign indicating which block was meant to depict which non-Macanese location.
I tried to work out what the rather nice Art-Deco style building is which can be seen at the entrance, but walking around it I could only find closed doors and no signs to indicate what is in there. If anyone knows, post it in the comments!
